One day at a time

Anyone looking at my log would think I must be in Sydney - actually I live in the beautiful city of Melbourne. Now there are a couple of pictures of some of the sights around the city - more will follow. Nice to have such a beautiful day - week didn't start off too good - had a small car accident, no one hurt - only the car showed the effects - as the week progresses it is improving and the end of the week should be good (fingers crossed!)

I pass under this tree most days of the week on my way to work and at the moment it is covered in pink/purple flowers. These will eventually fall and cover the street like snow.

I spent the weekend before the Melbourne Cup (Nov 2 04) in Sydney with one of my best friends. I had a very nice time there, the highlight was attending a concert by the mellotones and Neil Jensen on the organ at the Hayden Picture Palace on Saturday afternoon. This was followed by some drinks with new friends in the Columbian on Oxford Street and a meal at Betty's Soup kitchen. It is still possble to eat very well and for a reasonable amount in Sydney - here's a clue - head for Kings Cross - cafes in and around this area are definitely very good value.
