Almost Priscilla Queen of the Desert - The Musical

Tried to see a preview of the musical version of Priscilla - Queen of the Desert, but five minutes into the first act, we were evacuated from the theatre following  a bomb threat. After standing in the cold of City Square outside the Regent Theatre for 30 minutes, we were told that they had cancelled the performance and provide tickets for other preview performances. It wasn't a big deal to me - I live in Melbourne, but that was a big deal for some people that had obviously travelled a long way to see the show. Will record what I think of the show, whenever I finally get to see it.

Replacement GPS - Goodbye Garmin, Hello Mio

Image
:::Welcome to Mio-tech.com.au::: A new addition to the gadget family has been my replacement gps - long story short - the store I returned by original gps to for repair lost it and offer to replace it with another of my choosing. After the problems with the previous Garmin, I steered clear of that make and went for the latest Mio - C520. The main advantages being it has a larger screen, text to speech (it reads out street names), is nice and slim for carrying around and has Bluetooth. The down-sides I have discovered is that the interface isn't as nice as Garmin's (you need to already know surburbs to find a street) and its difficult to add additional POI's from the internet. It's true, but you get what you pay for and this is definitely true of the C520. technorati tags: GPS , MIO
