New Phone - Nokia E63

Image
File:NOKIA E63.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I have upgraded one of my phones to the Nokia E63 and my initial reaction has been very positive. The full keyboard is handy, but it does take a while to get used to, having been used to typing on a numeric keyboard. The phone uses Symbian as it's operating system and there are lots of applications out there written for it. Already have mapping, navigation, wifi finding and emailing applications up and running. Queen's Birthday - Sunshine Coast - June 2009

9 June 2009 Driving and shopping was the main events of the day. Started by driving up to Maroochydore to the closest shopping centre (although there were plenty of shops on the way there). Had breakfast and then decided to drive south to the DFO in Brisbane as we couldn't find what we were looking for. After another drive, we found the DFO at the Brisbane airport and spent the rest of the afternoon (and some money) there. Drove back and after a spot of food shopping, began to prepare for the trip home tomorrow. We finished off the evening with a lovely Indian meal in Caloundra, before retiring back to the hotel.

Queens Birthday - Sunshine Coast - June 2009

Monday 8 June 2009 Waited for Sox and Doug to arrive at the hotel and then went for breakfast with them in Caloundra. They took us out the the Glass Mountains ranges and through various towns there. We saw some great scenery and ate far too much (in fact so much that we didn't bother with dinner this evening). Had a very quiet evening in the hotel room and I did some work on my assignment.

Queens Birthday - Sunshine Coast - June 2009

Sunday 7th June Had breakfast at the hotel, which was a very full buffet. This included self-serve pancake from a pancake making machine. After filing up over breakfast, we went into the town centre and walked along the main street. There was a market on in the town and this was interesting to see what was on offer in the various stalls, afterwards we wandered along the beach front, before returning to the hotel via the local shopping centre. In the afternoon, we drove up to Eumundi, where there is a famous glass gallery. Had late lunch up there too, nothing too healthy. On the way back to the hotel we stopped off at Bunnings and did a spot of shopping. We both bought something to take back to Melbourne. I hope that I can get mine into my luggage. In the evening, we went to one of the local Mexican restaurants and although I wasn't impressed with my meal, Campbell really enjoyed his.

Queens Birthday June 2009

6 June 2009   Began early and got ready for Campbell's arrival. Didn't get the chance to use the Lounge again, will have to organise something later this year to use up those entries.   The flight up was very busy, so we didn't get access to the emergency exit seats and Campbell was complaining about the space by the time we arrived at Brisbane.   Pre-checking in with Hertz proved to be no help at all, they ignored the barcard on the paperwork.   Used Campbell's GPS to get to the hotel, the room is very nice. Two large queen beds and very happy that this only cost $95.   We tried to go food shopping but the local supermarket closed at 5.30pm! Found a convenience store that was still open, so was able to get milk for tea.   Had dinner at the restaurant and our meal took a while to arrive, but they gave us garlic bread to tied us over.   Unfortunately I forgot to show my Priority Guest temporary card so missed out on the 20% discount that w...
