One day at a time

Spent the day the my friends Six and Doug. We drove from Brisbane up to Noosa and the Sunshine Coast beaches. Later we went back to their new place in Stamford and after dinner at the Stamford Hotel, Sox drove me back to the hotel.

On my way north to Brisbane to avoid the Melbourne Cup (at least taking advantage of the public holiday Melbourians get). Hope to get some nice weather with predictions of the high 20's for the Queensland capital. Got very wet on the way to the airport and discovered that my rain mac doesn't work, so will look for a replacement. Hopefully nothing got to damp but some of my paperwork had suffered.

Took a drive up to Brunswick to see the progress made on the apartment complex that my new apartment is part of. There had been significant change and progress had been made on the third block which will sit in the centre of the complex.

Had lunch with my aunt down at the Tyadd Packing House. The cafe there provides good food at reasonable prices and with friendly service. It's always busy so my aunt and I aren't the only ones that think highly of the establishment.

I had a problem with my car and called out a mobile mechanic. His advice was to drive the car more and this pearl of wisdom cost me $80.
