Update on apartment

Image
One of the apartment blocks is nearing completion (unfortunately its not the one that has my apartment in it, but that block isn't far behind). Some of the fixtures have been added to the apartments, including the ovens and hobs in the kitchen. Strangely these apartments have had their patio windows left open. I wonder if its more expensive to replace the glass then to replace a stolen cooker top.

At a loss

There are times when I don't know what to do with myself. That is how I feel this evening. I am down because I can't think of something that I would like to do. There are of course many things I could be doing, the main stumbling block for me personally is the a) there involve interacting with other people and b) I would have to attempt them alone. It has been very easy for me to retreat from social interaction, to the point why I will prefer to deal with a computer than deal with a real person. One of the downsides is that without the technology I loss all contact and avoid contact as much as possible. I can recognise the problem, but fear is stopping me from changing my behaviour.

Yarra Valley Easter

Had a very relaxing day not doing much at all in the Yarra Valley. Spent well on food and wine, as well as a comfortable hotel room. Got a buffet breakfast to look forward to tomorrow and I might take the long way back to Melbourne.

Taking over

Moving up into the Business Manager's role again for 83 days while the manager is on long service leave in Europe. It's going to busy with a new team due to move in from another department in a couple of weeks and a new member of the team joining after Easter. My aim is to keep things running smoothly while the manager is away.

Cyndi Lauper - Palais Theatre Melbourne

Last night I was introduced to a true talent that is Ms Cyndi Lauper. With an amazing stage presence and recognised singing talent, this a show that I am going to remember for a long time. I didn't recognise much of her new work in the R&B area, but that not take anything awY from the enjoyment of listening and watching Ms Lauper. The most remarkable performances of the night was an acoustic version of True Colours with Casey Donovan and the final song of the night, performed completely unaccompanied.

When to stop

Where does will power or wisdom go when temptation is offered? I knew I was on tricky ground when I ordered a pizza for dinner, but my intentions was to spread it out over two nights. Needless to say those intentions evaporated and now I am suffering have eaten too much. It's not the first time but hopefully this will be the last.
