Dinner again

Second night out & second big meal. I have plenty of will power, but no " won't " power. Posted via Blogaway

Dinner with Dave

Went to see my friend Dave and we went out for dinner in Moonee Ponds. Had a nice meal and a fun evening, but he did go on lot about his problems at work. I try to be supportive and point out that he has to do whatever he feels is best for him. Posted via Blogaway

Feeling down

Not happy at the moment and it's probably due to the lack of response. I hope I am reading too much into the silence, I would really like to think that we could meet up again. I'm going to have plenty of time to get used to it. On the other hand I do have other options available and they may turn out to be just as promising. Posted via Blogaway

Still hanging on

Can't shift the last element of my cold from this week. The cough is hanging on far longer than I like and I am over it totally. Nothing I've tried seems to help with the cough or the sore throat that it creates. Posted via Blogaway

Still down

After another day off to help recover from the cold and went back to work on Thursday. Felt tied so no gym and early to bed. Hoe I can keep up with my friend Christopher tomorrow evening when we catch up for dinner. Posted via Blogaway

Day off ill

Took part of yesterday and all of today off work to get over this cold that I have been suffering with for the early part of this week. Looks like the time off has helped as I feel alot better after the rest. Should feel up to work tomorrow. Posted via Blogaway

Geelong Saturday Drive

Image
Took my friend to see a family friend and we stopped off in Geelong for lunch. It was a pleasant day for drive around the Bellarine Peninsula, and we stopped off in Queenscliff for afternoon tea. Posted via Blogaway

Read the screen!

Used the self checkout at local Coles supermarket. Discovered afterwards that I had managed to put one of my purchases through twice. I think the system had tried to warn me but I wasn't reading the screen properly, I was staring at it but the wasn't taking the message in at all. Goes to prove you can try to make an idiot proof system but there are system proof idiots like me out there! Posted via Blogaway

Saturday woes

Was scheduled to drive down to my aunt's place in Hastings with my cousins Avan and Marna, but I felt very poorly on Saturday morning. I called my aunt to let her know that I would not be coming along this weekend. Not sure when I will travel down there again any time soon. Posted via Blogaway

Pearson Victoria - update

Image
The rear block looks ready for tenants, the air conditions are in and the exterior finishes have been completed. The entrance gate has been put in, so that needs to happen is for people to move in. The front block isn't that far behind.

Belkin N300

Saw this modem/router on TopBuy.com.au, and it looked like a great deal for under $70. Picked it up this morning from the post office, had a look at work, but waited until I got back home before unpacking it. Well designed packaging, shame the same can't be said about the software. Loaded fine but failed on several occasions to set up the router. There was some frustration with the manual process, but when I worked out the router was not happy with the manually set internal addresses the process became alot easier. All my computers are now connected and all can see the internet. Posted via Blogaway

Nokia Upgrade

Started using one of my old Nokia phones and tried to upgrade it's software. That ran smoothly until I attempted to restore the setting back on to the phone. It crashed and refused to boot up correctly. After a few choice words, I scanned the Internet for some advice and found some instructions on how to reset a Nokia phone. Thankfully the process worked and I was more careful with the data I restored. I now have a functioning phone again, but I had to mainly set up, which was far less painful than just having an expensive paper weight, which is all the phone was capable of before the reset.

Pulled in two directions

I am beginning to think that I need to spend some time away from my usual work space. I'm getting involved in too many things whilst sitting in the division and it's consuming my time.

Stress

Spent the evening with a good friend who was doing me a favour. He's advice with my work situation is to seek some professional advice about the stress that I am feeling. Not good signs when nearly break down in tears at work last week and this week isn't faring much better. Posted via Blogaway

Omahs Restaurant

Went out to eat at Omahs in Port Melbourne. Food was good as seal although mine wasn't at hot, I assume it had been standing around for a while. Service was extremely attentive, even slightly over the top! Posted via Blogaway
