Disappointing Dessert

The dessert was slightly disappointing, the meringue was tough, probably over baked. It should be crispy on the outside and soft inside.

Dinner at Sebel Deep Blue

I have braved the restaurant at the hotel, although in reality its very quiet. I have enjoyed the main special, chicken sausages on mashed potatoes, although it was served in a slight bowled plate, actually made it difficult to eat. But I persisted and finished it all. Just waiting for my dessert, smashed pavlova. Posted via Blogaway

Museum Exhibitons

Went to two exhibitions on here in Melbourne today. First one was Space Voyager at ACMI, which was interesting. Not much interactive and far little reference to recent movies. The second one was the Egypt exhibition at the Melbourne Museum. This was very extensive and impressive, but I enjoyed the Titanic Exhibition more.

Finished the working week

Today (Wednesday) was my last day at work this week. Having a long weekend to enjoy myself. Going to a couple museum exhibitions that are in Melbourne at the moment tomorrow and then I am going away on Friday to Warrnambool.

Had a very nice dinner at Sugarcane thai restaurant in South Melbourne with my best mate Dave. The food was very good and plentiful, with attentive and speedy service. Discovered that it is a small work and Dave had met some of the guys the I have been in contact with. Posted via Blogaway

Improvement ?

Took my car into have it's brakes checked. They reported that there had been a build up on the rear ones and this had been cleaned off. Initially this seemed to have solved the squeak but after a while it came back, although not as loud.

Car problems

Taking the new car in the workshop to have the brakes looked at to see if they can discover the source of the squawk noise.

Relationships - hard work

Haven't even met Alex, keeping him happy is interesting balance act but worthwhile.

Gym Cancellation

Took one of the first steps linked to my impending move, asked about cancelling my gym membership. Sounds remarkably simple, will see what happens when I put my form in.

Long distance relationship

At the beginning of what could turn into a long distance relationship. We have been chatting every day for a week, although today we had our first misunderstanding. Thankfully through honest conversation we worked things out, but I had hurt them by my actions, or more precisely my inaction.

Family celebrations

I'm not a big fan of large scale celebrations, but I did enjoy the family get-together today to celebrate the  numerous birthdays this month. It was an update unusual day for me as I usually travel down to Hastings on a Saturday, so doing it on a Sunday seemed wrong. Posted via Blogaway

Letter

Yesterday received via my property conveyancer a copy of a letter from the developer explaining the reasons for the delays in the building of the development in Brunswick. Hopefully this will satisfy the Commissioner at the SRO. Posted via Blogaway
