Blue is the only way

After much consideration including replacing the current car, I have given up on the idea of installing Bluetooth into the Polo. Even though I think it's possible with the current audio system in the car, this is not the message I'm getting from the VW dealers. I have a issue with spending nearly $2000 to get it install in a way that will allow media streaming.

Final days

Thursday, didn't work out, although I didn't have much planned, there were a few wishes, but they very rarely come true! I headed to the Natural History museum but the queue put me off that one, so I wandered around the Victoria & Albert instead. Had dinner at the hotel again and did not bit more packing.

Final days

My first day on my own. Finally managed to cancel the booking I had at the Heathrow Ibis. I have a habit of getting a white chocolate mocha from Jubilee shopping centre, before heading into town. I went to look at Buckingham Palace, which is large construction sites at the moment as they clear the staging from outside the palace. I walked up to Oxford Street and after lunch at John Lewis, I went window shopping. Came back to the hotel with the aim of sorting out my luggage for the return trip.

Jubilee

Tuesday, there was plenty going on the centre of London to mark the end of the Jubilee. I was on my way to lunch with one of my old friends, who's in Ealing. We had a good chat about the past and what he is going to be done in the future. I came back and went shopping before returning to the hotel. Had dinner at the hotel, another jacket potato.

Jubilee

Monday, went into the centre to catch up with some friends for dinner. I caught up with Graham first and we wandered around Soho, and the street parties being held there, before catching up with the rest of the group. Didn't see much of the Jubilee concert has it was on while we were eating.

Jubilee

Sunday, the day of the river peagent, by the time we got the Thames, it was already packed, but we found a spot and took some pictures, until it started to rain.. Watched the rest on TV at Grahamston flat.

Jubilee

Saturday, went out with friends to Vauxhall and enjoyed tea & cake, as well as a glass of wine. The Thames was very quiet before the peagent.

Docklands

Friday, was a long drive and frustrating when I took the wrong turn near the hotel. Dropped the car off before 3 and returned to the hotel by DLR. Felt unwell in the evening and had a restless night.

Nottingham

Thursday, spent the day with my sisters, which was great. We just shopping, ate and chatted. I spoke to my nephew, who had recently been in an accident and left him with a fractured skull. In the evening, I caught up with an old friend and had a couple of drinks, while we chatted. Altogether an excellent day.
