Train again

Getting into the habit of taking the train in the morning. I should take the tram occasionally though.

Home alone again

Was invited to a house warming, along with 200 of his closest Facebook friends. Have glad a very difficult time reconciling how withdrawn I have become with the desire for company. I only have a handful of friends and have no idea how to find any more. Unfortunately I recognise the same trait in my father, wish I was more outgoing like my mother used to be.

Painful Realisation

Looks like the side trip to the USA will have to wait, unfortunately there is a limit to how far I should stretch myself financially and I think that would be an expense too far. Its disappointing as I was looking forward to spending some time over there and possiby meeting up with some of the internet guys I have been chatting to especially David.

New purchase

Have been holding out for a while looking at coffee pod machines and yesterday found Kmart had reduced their own machine to $29. One of them came home with me and pleased with it.

Summer with a vengence

The hot weather has finally arrived and with it the fire menance as well. So glad that we didn't have this while up in the country towns of Hepburn Springs. Thankfully no major fires in Victoria, although there are some serious ones around the country. Looks like the Natural Disaster Team could be busy this year (again).

War Horse - Melbourne Arts Centre

Went to see the live (and original) stage version of War Horse. The technical and skill of the puppeteers was very impressive, bringing to life  couple of horses and one entertaining goose. The story was slightly different to that shown in the movie version, but essentially the same.
