Better day

Today was a better day at work. Unfortunately the same hasn't been true of the evening.

Temper temper

I've been displaying an unusual short fuse at work recently. I haven't started shouting but got into a heating discussion during the feedback season and not sure why it mattered that much to me.

Dinner at Jacks

Had dinner with my friend Dave at Jack's Satay bar.

Rest and recovery

Spent the afternoon in bed recovering from a headache and resting. Felt much better by early evening.

Not myself

Woke up grumpy and this turned into a full blown headache by lunch time. Took myself home, I wasn't nice to be around at work.

Dinner at my place

For a change, one of my friends came over to my place for dinner.  It that we ate at home, but it was nice to have a visitor.

What's going on

Still don't feel quite right, this indecision has rattled me and may be causing some physical symptoms. Campbell came over as he was in the neighbourhood  and we had dinner at the Bistro.

Out of sorts

Don't feel ill, but also not feeling myself today. Started average Sunday, with brunch with guys but there was stress as the venue was unusually busy. I did some shopping on the way back. Tried to do some study bu t not sure much went in and then lost it when I tried to sort out the mobile deal that Paul had found. Been unsettled since then and hope a night's sleep will help me feel normal again.

Quiet Saturday again

Did some study, a several loads of washing and went shopping. I'm getting desperate for some company, but not having much success finding any. Have agreed with Campbell to go away for the long weekend in March up to Wangaratta.

HTC set up simply

I've loaded some of the apps that I previously had on the tablet but have kept the number low so not to tax it too much. It appears to be working well at the moment and handles what I have put on there.

Early night

Feeling more on the ball after a couple of earlier nights than usual.

Start again HTC

Instead of buying a new tablet I have reset the HTC one. Just installed some apps including one for blogging.

To Kogan or not

Was tempted to almost buy a new tablet offered by Kogan, but instead I have reset the HTC one. I accepted the offer of the new role but didn't check the salary beforehand. Now I'm worried I've accepted a pay cut!

Sunday ritual

Had brunch with the guys at the Cullen, we're running out of places to go, with Third Wave hitting the skids with the appalling service, shame as the food is good. No gym as my membership has run out at Fitzy and the new one isn't up and running yet. I did some study, only two chapters. The leak is still dripping.

Aunty for lunch

Drove down to Hastings and took my aunt out for lunch. It was a nice time and also got to see my uncle too.  Was very tied when I got back and didn't feel like eating much. I did bake some bread and are some of that.  I do need to set some time aside to return to my study.

Fixing it

Two plumbers came this morning and may have fixed the cause of the leak effecting my apartment. Only time will tell if they have been successful.  Campbell came over and has fixed my Dyson vacuum cleaner.  The graduate fixed up the issue they had from their last placement.  Now just need someone to fix the space in my heart and it would be a perfect Valentines Day, but they are running out of time.

Settling in

Had a sort of performance discussion with my manager, only sort of as I've still got work to do on the plan. Got to learn how to be a manager and have to confidence to stand my ground, I don't own much backbone at present. Work is finally going to start on repairing the leak, but they need access here too.

Managing people is difficult

My graduate is being apparently pressured to spend time back with her old team to rework her last project. My initial response is tough, they knew she was only there for a limited period, but can understand her desire to see it through and corrected. Will discuss with my manager tomorrow for advice.

What's wrong

Felt out of sorts Monday evening, didn't feel like doing anything, but did do some ironing watch First Contact. I did enjoy the movie, one of the better Next Generation.

Quiet Sunday

Weather changed but still had the air conditioning on to make the apartment comfortable. No gym and membership finishes next week, might get casual until new gym opens. Had brunch with guys but reluctant to go back to third wave due to poor service.

Home work

I've spent the evening with Campbell working on his CV. Reworking his experience into CAR (context/action /result), He was happy with the changes that we came up with.

Noises outside

The new neighbours have been making a decent amount of noise moving in and have parked over my space!

Frozen Joy

Finally got to see Disney's Frozen and I enjoyed it. More musical than I expected, but I liked the story of sisters reconnecting.

First Comfortable Day

Today was busy but not so tense as others, I had a handle on what I had to do. Long way off feeling familiar but getting more comfortable. Went to the gym and updated my calendars for my trip starting at Easter.

Monday feeling

First working day and already bad razor burn, better change the head of the razor. There's plenty for me to do at work, with two grant programs and the social committee. Minor excitement at the apartment with movement next door, means I'm going to get used to reverse driving to reach my car spot.

Interesting offer

Did the usual for a Sunday, including brunch and gym. Got an interesting offer to go swimming but I had already started baking so could take up the offer but another time!

Full Saturday

Today was unusual, met up with two mates at different times and did shopping at two shopping centres. Breakfast with Campbell and afternoon with Neil. Yesterday didn't workout as I hoped and didn't get to pick up my new coffee machine, which I have now done.
