Home cooked

Made another lasange and only ate half of it this time! Had brunch with guys and then headed to DFO Essendon but the car park was overflowing, so moved on the Bunnings instead. Bought a couple of lanterns for emergency lighting, if I ever need it.  No gym, not at all motivated to go, even with my weight increase. If I think about it I just get depressed and eat more. It is truly a viscous circle.

Saturday my way

Had a very lazy start to Saturday, although I did listen to a couple of radio stations and read part of the radio course homework. I walked to Moonee Ponds which didn't take long at all. I was going to get the bus back but it only runs every 30 minutes on Saturdays. Watch Rio and Encounter at Farpoint, the crew of the Enterprise looked so young and continuity wasn't that spot on it the beginning.

Holes at work

This is probably the busiest week for most people at work but we are still expected to prepare for the ridiculous service challenge this Friday. The news for the Social Committee is not looking good.

Still not meeting

Had to postpone meeting Campbell again, this time he is unwell again. Sounds like he's caught a bug, my bouts don't go on this long.  Picked up my glasses from the post office. Happy but not perfect. Can feel that they are making my eyes tied.

Failure to lunch

Postponed catching up with Campbell twice because he was unwell and today it was my turn. Mine cleared up by early evening, but still uncomfortable. Haven't left the apartment, spent time on the slides for Friday.

Beyond busy

Work is piling up and my manager goes on leave at the end of next week. No help, just more work from the other members of the team.

Tied and emotional

Was so tired this evening I was falling asleep on the sofa. I did go to the gym,  even if I only did a light workout, I've broken the back of going again. Work was stressful with problems between my manager and another colleague and with her leave coming up soon too. Looking forward to a weekend of not very much at all.

Birthday fix

Already arrange lunch for Saturday before my birthday. Will invite the usual suspects.

Taking the Michael

I'm missing the daily chatter with Michael, I hope it returns when he returns from his trip to Italy.  Went shopping and manged to spend over $50 on not very much.  This week seems very long, down in general, not happy with myself but not having any motivating stimulus to actually do anything about it.  Tina Arena will be performing her last show in Ballarat and I'm thinking of going. It's only an hours drive from here. Still going to Syndey but not rushing to get tickets for her show there. Prefer the sound of the smaller venue.

Not happy with reflection

Wasn't at all pleased with what I saw in the mirror this evening. I don't feel like I am eating to excess but I'm carrying more weight. I'm good at putting off and apparently putting it on too.

More cake please

Obviously some people can have there cake and eat it too. Take the ex admin person in our team who keeps doing admin activities she likes, but doesn't let anyone know she's doing them and the gets upset if questioned why she's doing them.

Virtually normal Sunday

Apart from brunching a little early, there wasn't much else unusual about this Sunday.

More Hastings

Went to lunch with my aunt and cousin. Had a lovely time at the restaurant, would have been a perfect day if it hadn't been for the weather on the drive back.

Superb call the midwife

British drama at its best with a laugh and a almighty pull on the heart strings. I'll miss Call the Midwife. A superb piece of television.

Less Hast more Work

I thought I was doing really well this morning getting through several things, but then some of my work came back with obvious mistakes. A little less rushing and a little more care is needed.

Big meal

Went to Sault restaurant in Sailors Falls just outside Daylesford for dinner. The service was very good and the food was excellent. I feel stuffed,  too much rich food. Only down side is that because of my food intolerance they only remove things from dishes but never substitute.

Sunny Daylesford

Image
Woke to a sunny but bitterly cold morning and after breakfast at Wombat Hill Cafe and morning tea at the Pavilion in Hepburn Springs, we drove over to Castlemaine for some rock.

Hope Springs

Drove up to Daylesford for the weekend. In a comfortable room at the Central Springs Inn. The weather is appalling but thankfully we're not up here for scenery.

High praise for high tea

I had high tea at the Park Hyatt this afternoon and they were able to provide lovely gluten free food. Highly enjoyable.

Magnificent Maleficent

Thoroughly enjoyed Maleficient and with all the flying around, it probably would be very impressive in 3D. The story is not the same as the original but then this is taken from another view.

No hole

The plasterer finally arrived at 9am and after a couple of hours, I no longer have a hole in my ceiling.

Trip down Southland

After brunch with Paul, I drove down to Southland and after struggling into a car park space, I wondered to Kmart. Went to look at their bedding, but ended up buying other things.

Start of the fibre offensive

I'm sick of being sick in weekends. Has to cancel my catch up with Neil because my bowels has other plans. Trying the benefiber the doctor suggested. I don't want it to get in the way of my weekend away.
