Day off ruined

First day of my leave has been ruined by the usual problem, unfortunately stopping me from enjoying the day or even just leaving the apartment. Looked at organising my Christmas present to my sisters, as my parents don't take any of it any more.

Foot in mouth

Need to take care with any flippant comments, they can be perceived as attacks against people. But I will not accept being treated disrespectfully.

Annual General Frustration

The body corporate annual general meeting was held today and I am so glad to be away from that toxic environment. They spent the first half hour bagging the previous corporate manager, which was used as their explanation why so little had been done. The new corporate manager went on about how unprofessional the industry was and proceded to complain about the previous manager too. I didn't agree with some of the decisions and at one point the chairman appear to have forgotten a discussion at a committee meeting about a security issue that was raised at the previous AGM.

Still humans

Had to work with people from another group and was struck by the lack of common niceties or humour.

What to do

Woke up and have no idea what I want to do, there are a few things I want to fit in but have no idea which order to do them in. Its a stark contrast to last weekend which was mentally so demanding.

Weekend ahead

Even though I have a busy Saturday I don't expect the weekend to be as exhausting as last week and the doubt that the conversation will be as deep either.

Work camp

Signed up for the boot camp workouts at work. I need to do something to get my weight down.

Dinner Indian

Has dinner with my friend Campbell and we went to a local Indian restaurant to his apartment. The food there is very tasty and the servings are not excessive.

Sick pink cross

Unfortunately the interviewee is not well at the moment so had to postpone the interview until next week.

95.4

Not a radio station but unfortunately my weight. Deeply depressing, which starts a vicious circle, eating to feel better, only adds to the problem.

Radio kicks on

Got my first taste of the digital studio and went well until the end when I got trigger happy and started something before the previous item had finished. Going in again tomorrow to record an interview with the Pink Cross.

Mentally exhausted

Attended the first day of the Cranlana course and after the first day I am feeling exhausted. Feeling seriously out of my depth again, as I did for the first time.

Unusual Friday

There was a strange feel about today at work and that was beyond the loud shirts some of us had decided to wear. There were a lot away either on leave or sick so the office was unusually quiet, but then the CBD seemed quiet too. By 5 pm the place was deserted and that's unusual on my side of the floor.

Home Alone

Another day off sick and not the only one, Jillian too.

CPA Congress

Spending the whole day at the Congress . Better get something out of it .

Studious Sunday

Spent a good portion of the day either preparing for World Wide Wave or the Cranlana event next weekend. I did go to the gym and there is very little back pain now. Although my eyesight is concerning me or more precisely my perception.

Tina Thursday

The day started early to make sure I could get a parking spot. I was successful, but it didn't take long for the street to fill up. Went to McDonalds for a coffee before heading into work, not bad but could have been hotter. Work was obviously quiet when I got in, busy day with meetings and my last day in the office with Jing. Thankfully Campbell agreed to come up with me to Ballarat, and the drive took a good two hours. The motel is fine, quiet a big room and my bed is enormous. After dinner at Pizza Hut, bad decision, we walked into the centre of Ballarat and we went our separate ways at Her Majesty's Theatre. The warm up act was disappointing, I was hoping to see George Perris but we got a local instead and not a very good one either. After a rather long wait, Miss Arena did come on stage and had a great voice, and presence on stage. I was very lucky to have a front row seat and made eye contact with her on a couple of occasions. Excellent show, well worth the trip.

Average Sunday

Terry and Shaun are back from their cruising adventure and Paul and I caught up with them for lunch. I went shopping at Airport West afterwards and picked up a couple of bargains. I went to the gym and did the bike, walker and treadmill.

Happy with Harry

Did my third Fresh Air session with Harry and it was so much fu.  I didn't panel for a change so I could relax a bit.  Have to break the habit of saying welcome back, instead I could ask the listeners us they liked the last song.

Shopping company

I met up with my friend Campbell after work and we went shopping in the CBD.  I bought a couple of printer cartridges and he bought a top. We ate in the Emporium food hall, or as they like to call it their café hall.

Drifting Apart

Was worried that Michael and I might be finally drifting apart, but he always seems to know what to say. In his latest message admitted that he has been worried about me, with all my physical complaints recently. Thankfully my back feels like it is virtually back to normal, now I just have to keep it that way.

Delaying Tactic

I'm going to delay my professional exam again because of the time to prepare for the Cranlana weekend, probably until December.

Radio Jerk

Beginning to feel inadequate at the radio, with my poor microphone technique and getting lost for words, part way through my sentence. I'm happier on the panel and in control of the programme.
