Picked up the keys

Image
Have the keys to my next place and went around to close the blinds, plus secure the place. Took a while to work out which keys worked with which doors but worked it out.

Mr Jackman is in the house

Spent a very enjoyable evening in the company of Mr Hugh Jackman and 10,000 of his closest friends. Pure entertainment all night!

Contemplating the options

Test drove three cars this Saturday and have eliminated two cars from the list, goodbye to the Mitsubishi and Holden.

Sweet morning music

Got up early Sunday to watch the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, whilst not as exciting as the adult version. There were a few stand out performances and the winner was the most deserving one to win. Bella for Australia put on a solid performance and finished up in the middle of the field, I think the novelty has worn off for Australia at the Eurovision.

Waiting

Accepted one of the quotes received for removal services, but yet to hear from them. They did call but didn't leave a message.

Brian called

Got a message from Brian which was nice and sounds excited by the get together planned for 19 December.

Start spreading the news

Started to tell organizations that I am moving. It's a long list and some I can only do after I've actually moved!

Merry lunch

Lunch with aunt and cousin. Always fun.

Shopping as a pastime

Went shopping for something to do. Proved to be successful as got now pillows.

Signed up

Leasing an apartment from Steller down in Moorabbin for 9 months before moving into my new apartment.

Almost settled

Only one step and one cheque away from securing a rental apartment down in Moorabbin until my new apartment is ready.

Can feel the stress

Work and the prospective move are beginning to play on me, having to fit into others people time frames and no perceived understanding of the demand me or my colleagues.

Application received

Already had a reply in reply to my apartment application. Apparently I'm the only one interested in apartment 101, do wonder what others found to object to it and I'd better check it was the one I liked the most before signing any lease.

Feeling a bit better about the sale

I've looked a the prices of recent sales of one bedroom apartments and I'm definitely at the top of the range. A couple have broken $400k but it's rare. Now just need to sort my own accomodation out.

Sold out?

A firm offer has been made for my apartment at the asking price and I have accepted the offer. Although I'm not over joyed by the news, I thought I would feel relieved that someone wants to purchase my apartment but I guess deep down I was hoping that I would get offer in excess of the asking price. Now I have to find somewhere for me to rent!

Whining results

Got an apology from Velocity and an explanation from the health fund. Still waiting to hear the outcome of the messages to Virgin and the owners corporation.

Movement on Conveyancing

Movement on responses from conveyancer. They now have everything they need, it "magically" appeared this morning. Who to believe as to when things were sent is hard to know.

Problem back

First physio session in months. Hope this time it doesn't take months to sort it out and I can stop waking up in pain.

Professional ?

Beginning to have doubts about the abilities of my conveyancer after a number of mistakes and delays in preparing the paper work.

Weekend away in the beautiful Grampians. Dinner in Horsham and high tea in Dunkeld. Went to McKenzie's Fall and toilet stop in Hall's Gap. Quite a package weekend!
