Boys will be boys

Birthday bash

Went with Brian, Tim and Damian to Bar Kylie and I had a wonderful time.

Birthday wish

Called home and spoke to my mother. She can't hold a conversation any longer but I get the impression that she knows what is going on. Very upsetting when I think about it and it's going to be difficult when I go and see them next year.

Birthday drama

Flowers delivered but no cake so sent a complaint and they have promised to get a cake out to Mum as soon as possible.

Going to Honolulu

Jetstar are running a promotion of free and Neil and I have taken advantage of it to fly to Honolulu next March. I'm excited, because I've always wanted to go and by then my finances should be more under control.

Conditional approval

My mortgage application has been approved by ING conditional on the valuation. Now I have to work out how to get the rest of the money ready for settlement.

The debate continues

Instead of dying down the push to get the Eurovison winner changes is still pushing forward, so much so that the EBU has released a statement in support of the original result.

Only two

Only Matt and I for World Wide Wave tonight.  Made a few mistakes but difficult when having to talk and work the panel.

Steps forward

Apparently the issue with the dutiable value of land has been sorted out but not relaxing until the mortgage application is processed.

Winning more

Dami Im proved the right choice to represent Australia,  second overall and first with the Juries. I have mixed emotions about the result, I'm sad that Dami and Australia missed out, but recognise that the Ukraine entry is a deserved winning song and performance.

Daylight

No daylight running lights for my car, disappointed!

Europe likes the Sound of Silence

Australia is through the final of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, thank you Europe!

Stressed

Feeling stress from so many directions; new apartment, current apartment, Eurovision and radio interview.

Another frustration

After getting to the bottom of the air conditioning, now there's a problem with the purchase contract. The ING is insisting that the dutiable land value is added to the contract, it is missing from the original. It doesn't change anything. But still need to get the vendor to approve the change.

Semi Final 1

The first semi final has been played out and there were a few surprises in the qualifiers. I wasn't expecting either Cyprus or the Netherlands, but the biggest surprise was Iceland not qualifying. Fingers crossed for Dami on Thursday evening/Friday morning.

Gale force

Strong winds this evening and sound like some more roof panels have come loose!

When three are better than two

Got confirmation that there is air conditioning in the master bedroom, as well as the second bedroom and the lounge. I've got three units instead of two.

Issue with build

Noticed that air conditioning has been put in the front bedroom when I asked it to be put in the master bedroom. I've sent an email to ask them to confirm where air conditioning has been put in the apartment.

Pain in the neck

My stiff neck has been particularly bad this evening. Giving me a headache , not sure that the memory foam pillow is actually helping.

Eurovision show

Got the lead on our radio show next Tuesday and it's all Eurovision from a outsiders view.

Sunday trading

Image
After brunch spent the day shopping and bought a few ikea and Kmart items, plus picked out a dinning table combination for the new apartment.
