One day at a time

Distressing to see how my mother is deteriorated and knock on effect that is having on my father. I hope I'm wrong but I dread that I might need to go over there sooner than next year :-(

I had a date this afternoon and he turned out to be a nice guy. Hopefully will see more of him again soon.

After much deliberation I have booked with Lufthansa but to London rather than Birmingham, because London was a couple of hundred dollars cheaper. In the end its cost just over a couple of grand, which includes the seat reservations and business upgrade London to Frankfurt.

Had another bout of diarrhea today at work, thankfully it wasn't prolonged. Trying new diet with note fibre to see if that helps.

The valuer from ING will be visiting my apartment again to check it as part of the mortgage process. Waiting to hear when settlement will be due.

There's illness going around the floor at work and I've got a mild version of it so far with just a sore throat. Need to look at if I start coughing.

Another bout diarrhea this evening, I think I might be particularly sensitive to onion and have issues if I'm not regular.

Only two for lunch on Saturday, Campbell has a clash with a Joy event so can't make it.

Dad is finding looking after mum a strain on him. She needs to be watched and can't be left alone. He wants to look after her but its going to wear him out if he's not careful.

Been looking for a replacement for my current tablet, which has limited battery life now. I was looking for the latest version of the one my parents have, but it appears to be out of production. Found a one at officeworks, but none on display. Decided not to ask as otherwise I would feel obliged to buy one. Will have to wait until Aldi bring out another version of the my current tablet.

Got a compliant about comments made about a comparison made on World Wide Wave this evening. Not sure what the process is from here.

Never thought anyone would read this blog but after a comment was placed on here I decided to keep the blog just for me.

Took aunt out for lunch and she had a big lunch of lamb shanks, biggest lunch I've seen her eat.

Apparently my GMHBA membership is in arrears, but I don't know how or why. Hopefully can clear it up tomorrow, but not very happy because they didn't let me know.

So that's the answer I'm waiting to hear so I can get finances ready. Mortgage paperwork has been signed and I'm moving the rest of the money. I'm also checking whether there is a limit on how much can be withdrawn as a bank cheque, in case I need to move the money again.

Met up with my mortgage consultant and signed all the papers for the mortgage with ING. 

Thankfully I had voted last night, because today I was hit by more gastro problems. In the end I didn't leave the apartment, which wasn't the original plan at all.

One of my work colleagues has passed away suddenly after suffering a massive stroke. Its a shock and hasn't really sunk in yet, but it has meant that I have reconnected with another work colleague.
