One day at a time

Its another rainy day in Bendigo and after an disappointing shopping trip (the tablet I wanted wasn't available again), we've returned to the motel so Campbell can have a rest to help get over his cold.

Travelled up to Bendigo with Campbell and been wandering around the city in the rain.

Received my first bill for my new place! Hot water service which is mainly service fee and gas charge, the hot water part is very small, also received the final of water bill for Faulkner Street too.

I tried cleaning the dishwasher at the old apartment but big sure if it helped. Will check again tomorrow.

Had a couple of friends come to my new apartment and got a housewarming present too.

The furniture was moved today and still in the process of getting it all in.

Found out this morning just how bad the showers are in my new apartment!

Spending my first night in the new apartment. Unfortunately someone has taken my parking space, so not a great start to my life in Moorabbin.

Final week in Bentleigh and wishing I could stay. It's a nice quiet street now the building next door is virtually finished. That's gone up in nine months.

Things are happening at my new apartment

Been in touch with two blind companies and not really impressed with either's idea of customer service, no evenings and no weekends.

Three boxes packed now, most of the glasses, plates and bowls have all been packed. Not sure that the boxes from Bunnings are all that strong.

Finally moved something into my new place, when I cleared the locker at the current place. Still a lot more to go but at least it's a start. 

No repeated trips to the toilet and less self pity, so overall a successful day.

Don't feel any different but I've gone from tenant to home owner .

Got the bank cheques from Citibank and took them to the conveyancer. Fingers crossed tomorrow goes smoothly.
