Train to Nottingham
On the way to Nottingham, at least this train wasn't as busy as the first one, thankfully no was in my allocated seats. Next is picking up the car.

In Brum
The flight was painful, even though I had emergency exit seat, they were so narrow I couldn't get comfortable so I was shattered by the time I reached the UK. Already slept for five hours. Had a shower, eaten and will then going back to bed again soon. Nothing wrong with Qatar Airlines but not very comfortable seats and that's the major negative.
Off to England
Not a merry trip, I expect this will be the final time I see my mother. Still feel numb about it, guess it will hit when I see her.
Chatting
How come I find nice guys just as I am about to go away for a while. Drew sounds interesting and similar on some levels.
Europcar crash
Tried to book a hire car from Europcar and it fell over twice! Don't think either of them has gone through as my credit card available amount hasn't gone down.
Family trip
Mother is in hospital but she's not the same person, according to my Dad. Rethinking whether to organise a car, maybe get on delivered to home rather than try and pick in up.
Hello Wheat!
Trying reintroducing wheat products back into my diet. The results have been a bit disappointing so far.
Mum in hospital
My mum collapsed and has been admitted to hospital. In a odd way it's actually a good outcome as she is now getting proper care and attention.
Slowly and surely
My mother seems to be in a far better place today than last week. Both physically and mentally she's deteriorating but at least the pain and agony she was in last weekend has gone. Now the best we can hope is that she is comfortable and does not suffer.
Bookings made
Booked flights, accommodation at the airport at the start and end of trip plus a car for the time I am at my parents.
Distressing
Called my parents this evening and whilst my Dad is in good form, my mother was very upset. I've not seen her cry before and its distressing to see. I don't know whether to go over now and reschedule the trip from next year when the inevitable happens, or wait for the final weeks.
