More family time

Went to see one if by sisters and her daughter and grand daughter, which was nice and then went to lunch with my dad to a new restaurant. Ate too much but the food was good.

No thunderstorms

Disappointed that there have been no thunderstorms here, some heavy rain but that was all.

Quiet day

Spent a good part of the day doing different things to my father. I went out shopping and then he watching football. We don't like all the same things.

Still hot

It's been unusually hot this week and it's still warm in the evenings too.

Day Trip to the Unicorn

Taking my dad and sister out tomorrow for lunch to a pub that our family used to own many years ago.

Shopping at Morrison

Weekly shopping done, plus simple lunch.

Home in Nottingham

Got up to Nottingham on Monday and have been spending time with my father since then. Went to town yesterday and he bought a jacket and pair of shoes. We are food shopping today.

In the UK

It's been a long trip and I'm about to have a very early night, but the trip went smoothly overall. The only troublesome aspect was checking in in Melbourne, when I was asked for my New Zealand passport, which I wasn't carrying, but in the end I was fine.

Homeward bound

Almost ready to make the journey back to the old country. Started thinking about the diaries I used to religiously fill in. I should go back and read some, I used to capture everything that happened but have let that slid recently. Will try to do better.

Eurovision 2017 Winner

Portugal came out on top the morning, taking top marks from both the jury and televoters. Disappointed that the UK didn't do better but they were no where near last place and Australia finished in the top 10.

Budget finished

Work has got quieter over the last few days following the finishing of the budget. Not much time to relax with the annual financial report just around the corner.

Eurovision in full swing

Did the first of two specials on Eurovision on Tuesday and got another interview lined up for Sunday morning.
