Down the drain

Today started well but got a bout of diarrhoea so that put end any plans for this evening. 😢

Bill passing

My uncle Bill has passed away in Australia. It's only the early morning there and there is much to sort out.

Lunch at Timmermans

After shopping at Morrisons, Dad and I went for lunch at Timmermans Garden Centre. It was a good feed.

Lunch with Dad and Gwen

Got treated to lunch from Dad and his friend Gwen at Tree Tops Gastro Pub in Mapperly. It was a good feed and that's the second time that I have enjoyed the Hunter chicken.

Early start

Has to move the car early this morning so the grass could be cut. I did eventually drive to the supermarket to get more food.

More car woos

Things are not improving with the car, more problems this time on the front 😕

Quiet Sunday

Done little today, going to Pauline's later for supper.

Changing Futunes

The day started well shopping and coffee, but ended less so with a damaged car and a bout of diarrhoea.

Shopping with sisters

Went into the city centre to catch up with my sisters and we went shopping as one does in the centre of Nottingham. It was another lovely day, if a little bit cooler but still warm enough for shorts and t-shirt.

Home again

The train was late getting into Nottingham but no issue picking up the car. I'm surprised how basic UK cars feel compared to their Australian versions. I have a Jazz and there are no reversing tool, built in GPS or connectivity with Apple or Android. Dad is well if a bit skinny and it's good to see him. I've been shopping for food I can eat and unpacked.

Travelling North

Ate and slept well at the Premier Inn, and I have never seen such a busy hotel restaurant, lucky that I booked for a early sitting. Everything went smoothly leaving Gatwick and currently on the train to Nottingham. Changed seats to get a bit more room and to be able to watch my case.

Gatwick

After a very long trip, arrived safely at Gatwick and staying at one of the Premier Inn hotels.
