Hot weather ahead for NYE 2012

Just looked at the forecast for the next few days and it's going to get hot! Mid 30's by the time I return to work. Well I guess it's one way of testing the air conditioning of the new apartment. Posted via Blogaway

Still waiting

I am still waiting to hear from the agent that they have received the title deeds back and the purchasers can proceed with finalising finance for the apartments. Apparently this isn't the usual practice & only leaves 14 days to settle. Posted via Blogaway

Completion date for my apartment

The letter from the developer contains the current expected completion date for stage 2, which includes my apartment, as 30th September. Posted via Blogaway

Letter

Yesterday received via my property conveyancer a copy of a letter from the developer explaining the reasons for the delays in the building of the development in Brunswick. Hopefully this will satisfy the Commissioner at the SRO. Posted via Blogaway

Pearson Victoria

Still waiting for advice about the chances of support for my application to receive the First Home Owners Boost, but looks unlikely. Posted via Blogaway

Pearson Victoria - update

Image
The rear block looks ready for tenants, the air conditions are in and the exterior finishes have been completed. The entrance gate has been put in, so that needs to happen is for people to move in. The front block isn't that far behind.

Update on apartment

Image
One of the apartment blocks is nearing completion (unfortunately its not the one that has my apartment in it, but that block isn't far behind). Some of the fixtures have been added to the apartments, including the ovens and hobs in the kitchen. Strangely these apartments have had their patio windows left open. I wonder if its more expensive to replace the glass then to replace a stolen cooker top.

Progress on Brunswick Apartment

Looks like the balcony of the apartment above are going to provide a lot of cover for my courtyard. Still a long way to go before the development is complete.

Brunswick - Progress Pictures

Image
More progress pictures for the development in Brunswick. They are making good progress on the front and back blocks, unfortunately I can see the apartment I have signed up for as there is an fence in the way, but it is one of the ground floor in the front block. Have recently had an email from the agent to say that the current estimated completion date for the front block is August 2011, so there is still a lot that needs to be completed before its finished, including two more blocks.

Brunswick - Update

Image
These pictures were sent by the agent and have been taken on the construction site. The first is showing the view from the street and the second from back apartments (Block D) and the laying of what I expect will become the car park in front of the block.

Apartment Progress

Image
There has been further progress on the apartments on Victoria Street. There are now walls (some) and a floor, but no roof on the front block, which will contain my apartment. There are still two other blocks to build, so there is still a way to go before the development is completed.

Walls going up

Work is progressing on the front apartments at Pearson Victoria and look forward to see these develop.

Progress on 460 Victoria St Brunswick

Image
The walls have started to go up on the building D of the complex (only A, B and C to go!). It's great to see that progress is being made and the complex is actually coming to life.
