Good News & Bad News

On the 3rd of August 2005, one of my aunts living in Australia passed away. I was at her bedside, along with other members of the family as she slipped away. Thankfully she did not suffer. In between her death and the funeral, I went away on holiday to the beautiful Gold Coast in Queensland. Although I felt guilty for enjoying myself, the trip had been a long standing arrangement and family members told be to go on the holiday and enjoy myself. My aunt would have wanted me to enjoy myself, but she was never far from my thoughts over the weekend and I was felt very honoured to escort her coffin out of the church at the end of her funeral.

Bewitched - the Movie

I was disappointed by the movie, it was an amusing concept, but I much more prefer the original concept and having bought the first series on DVD I am enjoying the simple but dated humour of the original.

What a difference a day makes

I was excited to hear that London had won the right to stage the 2012 Summer Olympic Games and txt my friends there to expect to see me then - only to have the nightmare of the bombing occur just 24 hours later and I was txt the same friends to see if they were alright. I have lived in London and the UK during the time the IRA were active and one thing that happens is that life goes on, it has to, otherwise they have won. It's impossible to be 100% safe today and public transport by it's very nature has to be open too all to use. What will it take to convince everyone that violence is not the answer, it is the problem!
