Good news on the refund front - I have finally received two of them. The one for the GPS and the shaver have finally come through, so I am just waiting for the HP one to come for my new pda. On the subject of waiting for my first GPS to be returned after sending it in for repair - I wonder what will come first, hell freezing over or my GPS ?

Having used up our download limits & suffered a slow down in the speed of our internet, I've purchased a unwired pre-paid modem. It works, after a fashion. It's difficult to get a decent signal and the speed isn't earth shattering, but its better than suffering the cut back service from TPG. Well I have had second thoughts and frankly it's not worth the cost to bump up the speed of the internet - so back it goes, thank heavens for the Money Back Guarantee!!

It's now been two months since my GPS was returned to be repaired and I am still waiting for the call from JB HiFi to let me know something/anything about the fate of my little black box. As for the refunds and promotions, I am also still waiting to see any of that money. I wondered what will happen first, I replace the GPS/PDA/shaver with a new model or I get some money back - I'm got a feeling it will be the former rather than the latter.

The Apple Store (Australia) - Refurbished iPod mini 4GB - Silver I have finally succumbed and fallen under the spell of the cult of the ipod . Frankly I wish I'd done it sooner - the way that the cool little gadget syncs with iTunes and I'm impressed with the quality of the play back too (although I know this might be my ears). I haven't gone for the latest and greatest version of the iPod and instead have plumed for a rather "old fashioned" mini - no colour screen, but FIrewire compatible. Nokia - Phone Models - Nokia E65 - Phone Features A new addition to my stable of phones and a lovely looking addition it is to. Well made and smooth to use. Can't fault it as a phone and the Nokia logical approach to their phones proves it's worth yet again. BUT - yes there is a but, for a phone that is touted as a wifi enabled it seems completely lost when it encounters un-named networks and to quickly gives up connecting - Nokia needs to work harder here. The only other down side so far has been the apparent short battery life, but my guess is that using the Wifi is probably to blame there. technorati tags: Nokia , E65 , 3G , 3 , Australia

I have learnt to be patient and it's something that I am remarkable good at (most of the time). I am patient with my family, especial my elderly relatives who have some very strange ideas about what is happening in the world on occasions, but I let them get off their chests and patiently listen to them. I am patient with my colleagues at work, even when it takes several attempts to explain something or I can hear them getting something wrong, I patiently let them learn what they need to do. And I am patiently waiting for a couple of businesses to pull their fingers out and provide me with refunds that I am entitled to. I am currently waiting for a refund for my shaver, GPS and PDA. One of these days though, my patience is going to run out !
