Woke early, or more precisely were woken early by the noises coming from upstairs. Had breakfast at the hotel and read about the storm that hit Melbourne with tennis size hail balls and rain that closed many of the major roads. I sent a txt to my flatmate to see if his car was ok and he sent me a picture of the storm from his bedroom balcony showing the water running down the street! After breakfast, we walked up to Daylesford main street to watch the parade. The crowd was smaller than last year, but then the weather had been much better. There was still a good show and this parade is always lots of fun. Came back to the hotel and then walked up to the Convent Gallery for brunch. Nice place although I object to paying to go into a gallery that is essential a rather big shop.
