Sydney Harbour Party 2013

Had a weekend away in Sydney with my friend Neil. We attended the annual Harbour Dance Party, held in the botanical gardens overlooking the famous Sydney Opera House and Sydney Bridge. The weather wasn't the best for an outside party and I think the numbers were down on previous events that we have attended. Overall it was a fun weekend and the Sydney didn't fail to put on a show for us out of towners. Might encourage me to try other dance parties closer to home, but I think the atmosphere at the Harbour Party is something special.

Weekend away in Sydney

Travelled up with Neil to Sydney to go to the Harbour Party on Saturday. No issues with either the flight (Virgin) or hotel (Metro on Pitt). We're off to see a play this evening.

Passport away

Applied for a new UK passport today. Went smoothly at the post office, although I think the queue for the normal stuff were surprised to see me go straight to the travel counter, but I did have an appointment.

Train again

Getting into the habit of taking the train in the morning. I should take the tram occasionally though.

Home alone again

Was invited to a house warming, along with 200 of his closest Facebook friends. Have glad a very difficult time reconciling how withdrawn I have become with the desire for company. I only have a handful of friends and have no idea how to find any more. Unfortunately I recognise the same trait in my father, wish I was more outgoing like my mother used to be.

Painful Realisation

Looks like the side trip to the USA will have to wait, unfortunately there is a limit to how far I should stretch myself financially and I think that would be an expense too far. Its disappointing as I was looking forward to spending some time over there and possiby meeting up with some of the internet guys I have been chatting to especially David.
