Saturday 7th March 2009 - Chillout 2009 Daylesford

Plans went a little awry this morning and I couldn't make the time for
the horse riding, plus it took a while to get through to them to let
them know.

With my plans for the first day sort of out of the window to start
with, I filled a little time wandering around the main street in
Daylesford, never seen so many rainbow flags flying from so many
businesses in one place before. The centre of the town was busy and
noticeably with a lot of groups of guys and gals.

Drove down to Hepburn Springs to check out where I was going to go for
lunch, before grabbing a few grocery items and then heading off to the
Novotel in Creswick.

The journey was a good 30 minutes from end to end, but thankfully I
did not have to wait too long before my room was available. It's a
great room, although the king size bed does dominate the room.

I drove back to Hepburn Springs for lunch and went to the Old Marconi
Factory, just got there in time to have a couple of sausages and watch
a game or two of bocce.

Wandered around the main street in Hepburn and Peppers looked busy,
but I didn't stop there, as I wouldn't have known anyone there.

Drove back to the hotel and settled in for a quiet night, watching the
tv and had room service for the first time - I figured it would be
more comfortable than sitting a lone in the hotel restaurant.
