Melbourne Cup day and even in Brisbane there was no way to escape the race that literately stops a nation.

I spent mist of the day wandering around shops looking for hats and rain coats. In the end I was only partially successful and have a cap for Thursday's Oaks Day BBQ.

The evening was quiet, didn't even find that many online to chat to. On the other hand, I have virtually finished packing and posted some pictures on Flickr.
