One day at a time

Gym this evening and a little shopping. Work is difficult on Thursday's when I am alone, could do with some assistance. Met with Neil and finished off my NIA membership application, although I don't think it will make much difference to my status. Published with Blogger-droid v1.7.2

Went to see Cars 2, which was amusing although not as funny as the first one. Did like one of the closing themes. Tried to purchase some olympic tickets that went on sale today, but the only closing ceremony tickets available were for $1300 and someone got them before I made a decision. Had brunch with Paul and fitted in a session at the gym, shopping and ironing. Took a trip to see the apartment which hasn't progressed much from my last visit, although the last block is slowly taking shape. Published with Blogger-droid v1.7.2

Trying to think of something positive about these two days, but keep going back to the disappointment of failing to secure any Olympic tickets and that my move maybe delayed further. Published with Blogger-droid v1.7.2

A few disappointments today. No Olympic tickets! Another possible delay on the apartment and loss of the locked rate of settlement is after 14th September. Had dinner with Campbell and had a nice dinner at the Coffee Club. Published with Blogger-droid v1.7.2

Quiet evening in the end, no message from Texas Joe, I guess he must have been too busy. Work was a mix bag, troubled by the minor issue of the meeting rooms and really don't want to bother John with them, but he had an opinion before. Published with Blogger-droid v1.7.2

No movie, I didn't feel up to it. Felt better later to go to the gym, which was unusually busy. Directors meeting went OK, but Joe does waffle alot. Published with Blogger-droid v1.7.2

Quiet at work, but achieved a few things. Met up with Scott again for coffee and talked about his plans. Had another session at Back in Motion, but no gym this evening. Noticed there is some very minor damage under the car.

Brunch with the guys and caught up with John in the afternoon. No gym today. Published with Blogger-droid v1.7.1

I feel like I got on top of my emails at work. Dropped Blogger wait kept crashing. Distracted by tablet at work, should not get it out in future. Published with Blogger-droid v1.7.1

Got to the gym. As usual I went shopping afterwards, but at least this time I needed to.  Work was confusing, so many things to do and my emails are getting out of control.

The flight out of Brisbane was delayed by 90 minutes and I arrived in the middle evening rush hour. Already done one load of washing and have a pile of ironing to clear. 

Had a trip on a river cat service and wondered around Southbank precinct. No meetings in the evening.

Went to a barbecue at my friends Sox and Doug place. Took the train to the end of the Ferny Grove line and Sox picked me up and took me to their place. We were joined by a few of their other friends and had a nice time. Got a lift back to the city, but didn't do much in the evening as I had had a little too much to drink. I had an early night.

Wandered around the shops in central brisbane and bought a few things including a new travel umbrella. Had a late lunch with Michael before returning to the hotel for a quiet night in front of the tv.

Compact

It seemed like a very long day. The flight up was slightly delayed but at least I got an emergency exit seat. The new lounge for Virgin Australia is nice but not significantly different to the previous version. Hotel room is comfortable but compact. I could hear the people next door, who tried the connecting door in the middle of the night. Had dinner with Sox and Doug, which was nice if noisy. But I must have are too much as I had trouble sleeping.

Got through the all staff forum but still issues with financial information. Not doing much this evening, just relaxing ready for trip to Brisbane.

I thought the over accrual was going to slip passed but look like it will need to be explained. I thought I was doing the right but made a mistake.

Finally got a full agenda for the forum and had lunch with Neil. Met Matt for dinner.

Busy day at work, seems like there aren't any other kind these days. Had dinner with David at Omah but not up to its usual high standards.

Landscaping and fencing is going up around the rear block and the front one isn't that far behind.

Went to see the progress on the apartment and took some new pictures. Got in a gym session before catching up with latest Dr Who.

Had the miss fortune of asking for some information from the ANZ and quickly discovered who they had based their TV advert character.
