I guess it was more a question of when not if Air Australia was going to fail. I am just relieved that it happened after I had used them and although the service was less than perfect, I would have travelled with them again if they had survived.

There has to be room in the Australian air travel market for another competitor, the basic service offered by budget carriers around the world works in those markets. Keep things simple - one type of plane, one class of travel and fly to smaller airports (Avalon?).
