Perils of the elderly using technology

My father has successfully mastered turning on the tablet and knows which picture to press to start Skype. Until it just stopped working. 

I guess he had accidentally turned on airplane mode, when he had previously turned the device off. Unfortunately he had no idea and was proposing to take it back to the shop to see if they could fix it. 

At least he should now know to recognise the little airplane symbol if it appears again.
