One day at a time

Had a relaxing day for my birthday although I did look at my work emails and expect tomorrow isn't going to be as easy. Today I went shopping and spent my Rivers vouchers, did a bit of study and work for the radio show tomorrow. Watched a Kylie concert from London and did my ironing. Quite a productive day really.

I have had the day of work to enjoy my birthday my way, which so far has meant shopping and lazing around the apartment. I suppose I could do more but not really that interested.

Enjoyed my lunch with Paul, Campbell and Neil at Joseph's restaurant. The service was lacking, which is a shame as it has previously been excellent. The food was very good if a little scarce on the plate. Got driven there in a BMW and it wasn't what I expected, the ride was refined but the space in the front and particularly the head room was limited.

I had the day off as I felt terrible this morning. Shivers and aches all over. Thankfully, its cleared up by the afternoon.

I was on World Wide Wave last night again and I think I'm more suited to sitting on the panel.  It wasn't a bad performance, but I do get tongue tied and butt in, and I have to learn to phrase my sentences so they allow the others to comment.  I'm far more comfortable talking on a show when I'm in control of it.

Once again hit with a bout of diarrhoea which I think was either caused by the dinner on Thursday or lunch on Friday. Warned my fellow Fresh Air hosts that I might not make it, but possibly might give it a go, its sort of under control.

My iPhone has been rejected because of a fault with the speaker, something I have never noticed and I feel they are being necessarily picky. So I've asked for the phone back. I would be able to sell it on eBay for more than I was offered my Mobile Monster.

Been using my HTC 8X as my main phone and although generally its ok, there are still some issues. Google calendars and contacts have not sync properly, entries are missing and there's no apparent logic to the items missing.

Hasn't taken long for my back pain to return and feeling dizzy as well didn't help. Thankfully the dizziness has disappeared but the back is still painful.

Haven't thought about work the whole weekend away. I've got a few days off coming up in the next few weeks.

I've had a very nice time in Sydney, apart from the headache on the last night - note to self, always pack panadol. Nice weather, not too hot and a fun the too.

Flown up to Sydney for the weekend. The trip to the airport was okay, just a shame that I had to change twice to get there. Flight left on time and I got a gluten free snack, just not the best gf bread. Hotel is nice, small but nicer than being stuck in one room. Area is more business than the other end of Hyde Park. There are a lot of people sleeping rough in the city, far more than I've noticed in Melbourne.

Took the decision to sell my iPhone 4 to Mobile Monster and live with just the HTC Windows Phone for a while. Switched the Aldi sim over and reset the iPhone.

Got to pass on some of my frustration at work over a meeting with my manager. There wasn't much she could do it was helpful to able to share what has happened and how it made me feel.

Beginning to wonder if some people at joy don't think I fit in there.

I find some of my colleagues very frustrating at times and I'm sure I must appear the same to them. 

Had brunch with the guys for the last time for a few weeks, I'm off to Sydney next weekend and Terry and Shaun are off to Hawaii for a few weeks. Will have at least one lunch with Paul before they return.

The day started off pain free but the back pain returned during the day. I think that the couch does not help as it is relatively low and I don't sit on it properly.

Woke up with no pain or back stiffness this morning.

Had my second session of physio and although it felt great immediately afterwards, it feels worse now. Not sure if my back is sore during the muscle strain or the massage. The duel heat rub doesn't seem to last that long either. Next session is a week today.

My back problem has returned and going to a phyiso recommended by a few people at work to see if he can help. 

Back at Joy 94.9 tomorrow for World Wide Wave. I'm sourcing the world wide wrap, I've sourced some news but not sure if they are serious enough.  Back on Fresh Air on 20 September with Jarrad, and Anne Lousie and Roybn as guest. I think a program about relationships might be interesting. Going to look for music about relationships, shouldn't be that difficult to find.
