Panelling better

Far happier after panelling for World Wide Wave, I just need to keep an eye on the times to give people more warnings.

Not a happy joyster

Been brooding about the Fresh Air, which could have been a lot better. Already refreshed the run sheet to mark out the talking parts. Need to set the levels on all the devices I will be using, at least I now have the news ident on my hot keys.

Not a glowing effort

Not as well prepared as I thought. Need to watch timings and make sure the running sheet shows the lines.

On the air again

Co hosting Fresh Air again with Barbara, themed around change. Already interviewed Shane and got a guest on the studio too.

Dance floor rage

Image
Was invited to see Giorgio Moroder last night along with his training partner, his wife and another of Brian's mates, Tom. I had a very good time, only marred by a bit of dance floor rage caused by a small group in front of us repeatingly moving backwards into our space. The floor was crowded and there was no room for us to move back. Brian put a stop to them encroaching on our space.

Late train to the city

Less than a handful of people in my carriage. Very weird!

Reconnecting

Its been a week of re-connections. First Greg on Tuesday and then tonight Adam. Both originally crossed my path many years ago and very happy to make contact again. Not sure if I'm losing another more recent contact, but I'm sure it will come clear one way or another.

Demolition started

Mqff'ing

Going to the Melbourne Queer Film Festival next week, going alone to two movies and with Brian to the third.

Alone too long

Feeling particularly lonely at the moment, I think the Kylie concert brought home to me just how isolated I am, the few "friends" I have wouldnt be interested in going whilst many of my contacts on Facebook and Instagram did and posted pictures. I guess I can't be surprises that guys I only vaguely know won't think to ask me but it's also disappointing that I don't have that kind of friendships.  I'm particularly worried that I will push away anyone that has potential to become a good friend becasue I'll be too enthusiastic about doing stuff and meeting.

Tough Contest

There are a lot of decent songs in the line up for this year's Eurovision. My personal favourites are Australia (of course), Sweden, Spain, Germany and Iceland. But there are at least a dozen strong contenders this year and it's going to make for a interesting competition.

Everyone's gone to Kylie

I know it's childish but I feel hurt that no one asked me to come along to the Kylie concert, most of my Facebook friends have gone. Would be nice to be asked along occasionally.

Probed again

Had another colonoscopy and the worse part was the preparation and then the hours waiting before the procedure.  Now if only I could solve my lower back pain, life would be so much more enjoyable.

Pre procedure

Took three attempts to find the right prep for the procedure on Friday. Working from home tomorrow and then off to hospital on Friday.

Disappointed!

Feeling down about not having more friends, just wonder how many of the people I know would collect me from the hospital and it surprised me how much I want to share my life with someone.

No Chillout this year

After discussing possibly going to ChillOut in Daylesford on Sunday, we've decided to wait for next year and now I have a free Sunday.

Friday Freedom

I've extended the long weekend by taking Friday off as well. I had lunch with a mate who came back to see my apartment. The rest of the day was very quiet.

Commuting Hell

Took my car back to be fixed. Left here at 7.15 and got to the mechanics by 8am, but it took an hour and half to get into the city and the return trip took from the office just over an hour. Then with a stop in Prahran and an accident on CityLink it too me two hours to get back.  Commuting by public transport is painful enough.   I don't know how people can drive into work, it would drive me insane.

Presenting can be exhausting

Presented to new system 26 people over two sessions today and it's physically tying to stand up and present to people so they are engaged and take some of it home with them.

Tied and lonely

Been getting some interest shown and made some awesome friends recently, but can't stop thinking about that guy in London.

Neighbours

Checked out the state of the new apartment and only change was more dots. I've got neighbours on the fifth floor.

New venue

Paul and I tried the Sandbar for brunch. The menu was limited but covered all the usual bases for brunch. It's very popular so getting a table for four or five people may be difficult.  It's in a great location but that really is the only plus, but there aren't negatives just caveats about it.

Old is new again

Caught up with a old friend from my early days in Melbourne and hope to see him again. Was a very interesting person.  Also contacted another old contact and will work on see him again, especially since I will be living nearby sometime in 2016.
