Not so merry

Yesterday was a strange Christmas day. I didn't mind it just being another day and I did do the radio show on my own and wash the car. The hard bit was seeing everyone else on social media have such a wonderful time with family and friends. It was the feeling of missing out on something that everyone else was enjoying. Social exclusion in action.

New internet

After initial problems attempting to register my new optus mobile internet, it eventually just worked. The speeds are marginally better than I got from Vivid but not by a great deal.

Worst day at work

I was very disappointed with my colleagues today. They all went merrily off to the group's Christmas lunch but no one noticed I wasn't there or asked me why I was missing it. I didn't choose to avoid it but was forced to due to lack of options at the restaurant picked. What hurt was that no one appeared to care I wasn't there. Much like the Pride network, none of them bothered to check who was invited or follow up afterwards.

Car already 3

Took the car in for a service and they completed the 60k or 36 month service. I didn't realise I'd had the car that long.

Quiet weekend

Did very little even with an extra long weekend as I have returned to having alternate Mondays off work.

Goodbye Vividwireless

Optus are closing down my internet provider. They are going to offer an alternative but I'm going to look for something else.

Apple Carplay betters Android Auto

Had a drive in a car which had both Apple and Android phone mirroring and Apple's was far superior. Nothing to download, was instantly recognised, altogether a far better experience than the Android version.
