Week 16 Isolation

Metro Melbourne has gone back into stage 3 lock down which means no family visits for the next six weeks. I don't think the weather or nature is helping, I have a lot of bird droppings on the windows to the study but no way to clear it off (they do not open) and the rain has been too late and too little to help clean it off. Further trips to see my aunt are on hold for the time being until she needs something done or more likely some banking done for her.

The building site is about to get a lot noisier with a pile driving machine added to the other machinery already on site, they have taken over the car park of an adjacent building to hold more equipment, but I wonder if they have planning permission of its installation.

I'm in the process of withdrawing my insurance claim since I can not provide proof of ownership of the bags that were taken and the repair to the door is well under my excess. I assume I can withdraw the claim because there is no point in carrying on with it. I have already purchased a replacement for the hard sided case that was stolen and although I could find the same one, I have purchased something of the same make and size, which this time it is expandable too.

A lot of people seem to be more down about this lock down this time around than with the first one, and although initially disappointed, there is little I can do about it so I just have to accept it. Hopefully it may not last as long as they expect but with the high number of cases (most of which are asymptomatic), it will probably last a good while.

I have been distracting myself by looking at new cars, but obviously there is no point in replacing the one I currently own. I rarely use it anyway and so it is not logical to purchase something that is just going to sit there.

I was looking through some old photo albums and noticed that some of the photos are missing, I have no memory of what happened to those pictures and the photos I was looking for I could not find.
