Isolation Week 19
I suppose I should rename the recent blogs, because officially I'm not in isolation, but that is how it feels even though we are under stay at home orders (with four limited reasons to leave).
Unfortunately Victoria and Melbourne are making world headlines for the wrong reasons. Whilst the majority of the country enjoys returns towards normality, Melbourne has been having increasing infections, together with associated deaths. It's very likely that at the very least the current restrictions will be extended and probably tightened further.
Strangely I'm not freaking out about it, I have very limited interaction with other people. I go to the supermarket in the evening when it is very quiet (more staff than customers) and the rest of the time I am in my apartment.
I have taken a couple of days off work, not that I can go anywhere. Spent the time to prepare and submit my tax return,as well as prepare the information for my aunt's tax return. It obviously not the same as being able to go away, but to be able to not think too much about work was very relaxing.
Had some good news during the week, Oscar (my cat) has been suffering with a long term ear infection but on the most recent visit to the vets, they could not find any trace of infection. So I have been able to stop giving him ear drops, which he never enjoyed. He is still on tablets but those will also end in a few weeks.
