Week 50 - Almost normal

We are moving more towards normal (or at least the new version of normal), with the vaccinations started (slowly) and zero community transition of corona-virus reported.

I had a shorter working week than normal, as I extended an already long weekend with also taking Friday off, but in the end, it was wasted as I was hit by yet another bout of diarrhoea (which has been happening frequently recently). The weekend has proved to be a busy one with a trip to my elderly relative (including lunch) and then high tea with my best friend on the following day. I am looking forward to having some quiet time on Monday.

My working week will commence with working in the office and I also have an interview lined up during the week for the radio programme.

Work has been frustrating because I have basically been in an holding pattern, going through the motions waiting to hear when things need to be done by, whilst also trying to get other areas to feed their information.

It's not greatly satisfying, but there are the small successes when some problem is sorted or deadline met.

Australia's entrant for the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest has been released and I like it. I realise it is not going to be a fan favourite, but it is different and should stand out in the competition. I'm looking forward to seeing the official video whenever that gets release to possibly get an idea how it will be staged.
